Our Story

Born from rhythm. Rooted in Rajasthan. Worn with pride.

Not just handmade. Heartmade.

Shruti Misra Designs is where Jaipur’s timeless craft meets the soul of a dancer, a place where every piece moves with quiet elegance.

Shruti isn’t a designer who discovered craft on a design board. She lived it — in the folds of her mother’s sarees, in the footwork of Sufi Kathak, in the textured streets of old Jaipur. A trained dancer with a Master’s in Kathak, movement is at the core of her being.

But it wasn’t enough to move. She wanted to create something that lasts, something that means.

Fashion found her. First in publishing, then at the London College of Fashion — but home always called louder. Not just to return, but to revive.

What makes this label different?

This isn’t a curated aesthetic built for Instagram. It’s a living, breathing effort to preserve the dying art of true handwork, not machine embroidery disguised as craft.

Shruti works directly with local women artisans in and around Jaipur — not just giving them work, but inviting them to build something with her. Her dream? To create an ecosystem of 75 women entrepreneurs who co-own the success of this brand. Because empowerment here isn’t a buzzword. It’s the baseline.

The garments speak in whispers: elegant, detailed, flowing with movement, always true to the roots. They don’t shout for attention. They hold it. Just like the stories they’re made of.

This is for the ones who feel deeply. Who collect meaning, not just pieces. Who know that when you wear something real, it shows — in how it falls, in how it feels, in how it stays.

You don’t need to be from Jaipur to carry it with you.

But once you wear it, a part of you always will be.
